Catcher Jorge Posada cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Caracas Leones
defeated the dreadful Burbank Tigers by the score of 5 to 1 at the
ballpark.
Jason Johnson(9-13) pitched well for Caracas in their victory. He went 6
innings surrendering 6 hits and no walks. Caracas had 12 hits for the game
and Burbank had 8.
Keith Foulke got the save, his 22nd. Jason Jennings(1-14) absorbed the loss.
He was unable to control the Caracas offense and allowed 12 hits and 4 walks
in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Caracas continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
